WHO ARE WE?

Allies For Earth is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to spreading awareness on issues of climate change, climate justice, and global warming in an attempt to bring all stakeholders (all of humanity) together in the fight against global warming, climate change, and the quest for sustainability.

We focus primarily on the African continent and particularly the SADC region, and the unique African problems that take precedence over climate change/global warming, such as poverty, education, society, and culture.

Despite the bias towards the African continent, we also look at the wider global problems faced by the world at large due to climate change and global warming because we realise that Africa cannot exist in a vacuum and that climate change and global warming is a worldwide phenomenon.

Our chief aim is to raise awareness of the practical things we can do to combat the climate challenges we face as a species and to answer the question of how we as humanity can bridge the gap between human production/advancement and stability/sustainability.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We must realise that we are ONE race living on ONE planet. As such, we share both a common goal and common danger to our planet. We share a common risk and common benefit as well.

Because of that, we must come together as one and figure out practical solutions to our global climate crisis. We must also realise that we as a human race, only get one earth the same way that we only get one life. This is the same earth that future generations will look to inherit. As such, it is our duty to safeguard our world, our world being our only sure home, from both the man-made and natural climate disasters and destruction that we face due to climate change.

Focused climate action is thereby needed in this regard. We must not look at climate problems from a place of fear, because fear leads to irrational decisions. Rather, we should aim to tackle the problems faced today from a courageous standpoint with the knowledge and reassurance that we are always going to find a solution to these problems. We must realise however that this is not a fight to be won overnight and that the sooner we take action the better. It takes dedication and a willingness to change for any lasting impact to be had, and no precious second can afford to be wasted further.
